We do not knowingly collect data from children, and we do not collect special category data through this website.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To answer your enquiry and quote for work. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision making or profiling.

Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small files stored on your device. This site uses two kinds.

  • Essential. Used to remember your cookie choice and to keep the site functioning. These are always on because the site cannot work properly without them.
  • Analytics. Google Analytics 4, used to measure how the site is used. These are switched off until you accept them. We use Google Consent Mode, so no analytics or advertising cookies are set before you choose.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer, or by clearing this site's cookies in your browser. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings, though parts of the site may then behave differently.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions.

  • Hostinger - website hosting and email.
  • Web3Forms - delivers form submissions from this site to our inbox.
  • Google - Google Analytics, and Google Search Console for search performance data.
  • Calendly - discovery call bookings.

We may also share data with our accountant, or with authorities where the law requires it. Some of these providers operate outside the UK. Where data is transferred internationally it is protected by the safeguards required under UK data protection law, such as the UK addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become work: up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Client records: for the duration of the engagement and up to 7 years afterwards, to meet accounting and tax requirements.
  • Analytics data: retained by Google Analytics for up to 14 months.
  • Server logs: retained by our host on their standard rolling schedule.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access a copy of your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis we rely on.

To exercise any of these, email gabbi@ace-marketing.net. We will respond within one month.

If you are not happy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113.

Keeping your data safe

The site is served over HTTPS, access to our systems is protected by strong authentication, and we limit access to personal data to those who need it to do the work. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable and proportionate steps to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our tools or practices change. The date at the top always shows the current version.
